This is my favorite page so far. It’s pretty close to the first idea I had for this series. In the last arc of Our Super Mom I was toying with the idea of a spin off with the new heroes I created, but nothing clicked. I considered an occult detective series with Ghost Hunter and Roller Girl, which I may still do one day, but that was as close as i got. Then I imagined Liza dealing with grown up kids, like me, and the dialog started pouring out. Unlike me, Liza had kids late in life, so I chose to give her a new team of twenty somethings. I liked that teaching rookies dynamic from the Our Super Mom arc – so that led to this. Ghost Hunter was the only character with the right powers, sass, and age to carry over.
No, its a teenage thing.
And yes, 20 somethings is still teenage in my book.
These days, sadly, that’s accurate. There was a time in the recent when late teens were considered “adults”. Heck, there was a time not TOO long ago when early teens were considered adults! (Hence the common “you’re an adult now” type ceremonies that many societies had somewhere around *13*.)
You are right on the money!
